Booking is open for our coach trip to RSPB Lake Vyrnwy on Saturday 26th April.
This reserve is based on a reservoir in the heart of the Berwyn Mountains, surrounded by moorland and woodland. It is a very picturesque spot.
We will base the day at the little village of Llanwddyn at the southern end of the lake.
You can stay just around this area if you prefer, where there are toilets, a cafe and a hide all within easy reach. There are short and longer walks to choose from. I will be happy to lead a longer walk to explore further.

Lake Vyrnwy suffered terrible damage from Storm Darragh in December 2024, and the roads and tracks are still being cleared. So we may not be able to explore the northern end of the lake, but there will still be plenty to see and do.
We will be searching for Pied Flycatchers, Redstart, various Warblers and Dipper. On previous visits we have seen Osprey and Goshawk!
The cost is £20 per person for a great day out.
