David has travelled to Pembrokeshire for over 60years, and, as a wildlife photographer and historian, recorded his journeys in film throughout that time.
In tonight’s talk we follow the coastal path from Amroth to Fishguard, looking at a wide range of habitats amongst magnificent scenery. The talk is fully illustrated with images from the pre-historic, through the medieval era, to the present day. We look at wild flowers of the cliffs & dunes including many species of orchid. We see creatures of the seashore and the ocean, including whales and dolphins.
Birds are featured throughout the talk, together with moths, butterflies and dragonflies. The highlight will probably be seeing Skomer Island, one of the finest Nature Reserves in the UK.
This illustrated presentation will take place at St Bridget’s Church Centre, Church Road, West Kirby, Wirral, CH48 7HL.
