Your satnav route to this site may depend on which part of Wirral you are coming from. You can go through Liverpool and the M58, or the A59; or via the M56.
The Reserve is very approx. a mile out of Rufford, down a track off the B5246 Holmeswood Road between Rufford and Mere Brow, on the left-hand side.
n.b. The postcode should take you onto Holmeswood Road but may stop short of the Reserve turning. Continue for a few hundred yards.
The entrance to the track is not well marked but there is a small sign for Meresands Kennels and Cattery which is along the same track as the reserve. It is the only turning on the left along this stretch of road.
Facilities include a Visitor Centre, Café, Toilets.
A reserve map is attached.
