Guatemala

Land of Quetzals and Mayans – Barrie Cooper – Thursday 26th October 2017 (8.00 pm to 9.30 pm)

The range of habitats in this Central American country makes it a haven for wildlife.

Birds such as Resplendent Quetzal and Pink-headed Warbler are relatively easy to see.

Mayan Pyramids are great vantage points to watch Yucatan Howler Monkey, Orange-breasted Falcon and Ocellated Turkey.

Guatemala is an underrated country and its combination of a long bird list and rich Mayan history and culture make it a fascinating country to visit.

This illustrated presentation will take place at Kingsmead School Hall, Bertram Drive, Hoylake, CH47 0LL
