Our next field meeting is a visit to the wonderful Parkgate, where the woodland and salt marsh provide a haven for some brilliant birds.
Meet at Parkgate Old Baths car park at 11.00am.
(Postcode: CH64 6RL).
Plans may change depending on the weather. But the intention is to initially walk inland along the Wirral Way looking for typical birds of woodland and farmland. We will return to the cars for a late lunch.
Then afterwards we will amble along the Prom, scanning the salt marsh for raptors such as Harriers and owls, as well as geese and waders.
We will stay until dusk around 4:30pm to search for birds going to roost – but of course you can leave earlier if you wish!
A Public Toilet and refreshments are available in Parkgate.
A reminder that if you have Covid symptoms, you should follow Government advice, and not attend this event. Hopefully you are all well though!
